We are a small, family-run garden nursery on the outskirts of the village Collingham, Newark, Nottinghamshire.  Owned and run by Stephen Pearson and his small team, our nursery is open seven days a week from the 10 January until 23 December (closed Easter Sunday).  Stephen’s life is plants.  Our aim is to offer high-quality products, at excellent prices.  We grow many plants on-site and specialise in summer bedding.  What we do not have in stock, we will endeavour to source for you elsewhere.  At the heart of our business is our plants.

Stephen started in the horticultural business with help from the Prince’s Trust and set up Pearson’s Direct Plants when he was only 22 years-old.  He then moved on to lease some land In Saxilby, Lincolnshire and started Fossdyke Nursery in 1999.  He bought his own land in 2007 and set up Pearson’s Nursery.  Over the years, the Nursery has expanded and we added the tearoom in 2010.

Our team consists of Stephen and Steve Shaw, who both have excellent horticultural knowledge.  They are supported by Val, Carol, George and Joe, who work part-time.  The Pearson family also pitch in, young and old.  Stephen’s parents often help, as does his wife and young children.  The focus of our Nursery is, and will always be, plants.  However, we do sell other items to help you with your gardening needs, such as plant pots, aggregates, compost and garden sundries.  We offer invaluable expertise from our small team and look forward to your visit.

Please note, the tearoom will close at 3pm on 19th December and will re-open on 1st February. We look forward to welcoming you in the New Year.
